Re-Hatting

A co-worker and I had gotten this hat for a good friends kid August. He has since out grown it and now it comes back for Gio. I love it when a plan comes together.

The new Club Foot spokes person.

There is a small scab on Gio's achilles where they made the incision. I didn't see it on surgery day because I would have ended up on the floor. Seeing it now I am amazed at how small it it is. Less than an eighth of an inch. We found that he is much happier if he has socks on, probably the compression makes him feel safe. He is getting used to the brace and doesn't put up a fight when everything goes back on.

Dinner and a massage.

So Gio has a couple of hours a day out o f the braces. During that time we need to stretch his ankles. Pushing up on the ball of the foot, stretching the ankle upward. He has great mobility up and down. I'm jealous.

New Legs.

Gio was pretty upset with his new situation. To review: Bare legs = not good. Braces on = not good. We're screwed.

Final casts off.

Gio had his final casts taken off. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it all. He had about an hour without anything on his feet. But that changed pretty quickly.

It's August already

This last week was pretty eventful. Erin went back to work, and we found a nanny. Check and check.
