Discharge Day
Discharge didn't necessarily go as planned. When we went to pick up the kids we were told they both had problems feeding the night before and they didn't feel comfortable sending them home. We stayed the memorial day and night with the them doing all the feedings. This totally took the excitement out of the day, but on Tuesday May 31 everyone was finally home.

Oh Billy
Sofia getting treated for Bilirubin. The Special Care Nursery uses UV lights to burn of excess Bilirubin in premie babies. Gio didn't need to have done, cause he is cool like that.

34 WEEKS
May 16, 2011:
After a long road we got me meet them.
Giovanni Nicco Vermilyea: 4 lbs 7 oz. / 12:59 p.m. Sofia Ray Vermilyea: 3 lbs 14 oz. / 12:58 p.m.
We were very lucky to be at Children's hospital in Minneapolis, just a few miles from our home. Gio and Sofia went straight from delivery into the special care nursery where they will stay until they are ready to go home.
